My "Theorizing the Farm" exercises are a direct result from each week's readings and are thus named after authors. Using the prompts provided on the syllabus as a framework, I completed twelve short entries over the course of the semester, each of which represents my growing understanding of farming. As I did so, two themes started to form: the importance of community/diversity in cultivating a healthy farm and political power of the farm. These idea are represented either explicitly or implicitly in each of my entires.
